at Texas A&M University
Welcome!
“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”
~ Nelson Mandela
A world language is any second language taught in a classroom or used in a community.
Do you speak a world language at a superior or native level? Would you like to share that language and its culture with K-8 students?
Would you like to learn more about content-integrated curriculum and technology-enhanced instruction in your world language classroom?
The Texas A&M University (TAMU) World Languages Teacher Academy provides high-quality professional development programs for elementary and middle-school teachers of world languages to create a content-integrated curriculum and implement technology-enhanced instruction. We also provide additional professional training in pedagogical contrastive linguistics between Chinese and English and between Korean and English.
